Ok spent a fruitless boxing day (well half an hour actually
) trying to fit my pipes i've come to the conclusion that my collector /centre section what ever you want want to call it are not the same diameter the front pipe is slightly smaller than the rear pipe and both are not quite 45mm (both are larger) i presume this is part of the "character" of an italian bike .
question is where do i go from here? if i take it to a dealer they will only encounter the same problem i have an idea though
this is the rear of the can itself as you see it has two cutouts to enable the link pipe to fit
is there any reason why i can't apply this the 45mm end of the link pipe ??
