I think it stemmed form someone saying they had a certain spec, and someone replyed with ' it could have been added by the previous owner or been put on there by ducati as they had no standard parts blah blah. A 996s has a ohlins rear if i'm not mistaken. With a grey exhaust guard which probably got binned. See what I mean doesn't help does it
