Hi Webby,

I got mine done at Cornerspeed with a kit that Nelly supplied and fitted during it's 6K service. I think it was an Evoluzione bit of kit?

Wasn't much to buy, and is easy to fit apparently (even though I had mine done for me).

Does the job well, but with one exception. The kit senses that the bike is in neutral by tapping into the neutral switch. So if your neutral light is ON you can start the bike on its sidestand.

Like so many Dukes, my neutral light has started to play up and is often lit when the bike is in gear. Sometimes the switch behaves itself and the light goes out when you select a gear, sometimes the neutral light just has a faint, wicked glimmer and sometimes it's almost as bright as it is when you have neutral selected. It's one of those "I'll sort it when I get around to it" type of faults.

In the meantime you need to be careful, because now the bike will start in gear if the light has the faintest glimmer, and of course even if it was in neutral to start with, the engine wouldn't cut either if the selector got knocked accidentally.

It's not the sidestand kits fault, but something to be careful of
