Drop me an email , I have a 2000 996 and have just had this exact problem with four rockers, my bike was 4 months out of warranty and after a lot of persuasion DUK agreed to pay for the rockers, but not the labour, but the rockers are c£90 inc the VAT.

I have the contact details of quite a senior guy in the warranties department.
