Frank, you should check with a couple of insurance companies anyway (just ring around for quotes) as my experience has been that they usually disregard one speeding offence. I used to have a TS10 (going through a red light - long story which I won't go into here), which got me 3 points and a £40 fine. Come the insurance call around, the conversations went something like this: xx: Do you have any points or convictions? me: erm....3 points.... xx: For speeding? Don't worry, they'll disregard that. me:erm....no, it's a TS10... xx: Oh....that'll be an extra £300 pounds please. I'll wait while you punch yourself in the stomach. Take it further because you think you are in the right, but don't worry about future financial penalties. Chi ps Will try to catch you on my next trip 'oop north' |
