I'm not knocking the 999, but they never **** the R1 off in its old guise. The "old" Ducati is a classic bike & will be for some years- certainly not "dead" or "ex-bike" or "deceased".
Christ, they've only just stopped making it & all of a sudden, its not cool to own one!
