1. Using the fly lead supplied with the optimate and permanently connecting it to your battery. It is just a case of plugging the optimate into the lead. (£2.99 from

2. Using the accessory plug lead available as an option (£9.99 from
www.mandp.co.uk)
Pros and Cons
1. Cheaper than 2 but requires fairing off to fit.
2. No installation required but more expensive than 1.
