| very nice frank! looks like you got away without having to mod the fairing as well.
I wouldn't worry about the single clamp - the stress on the bar would be on the outside of the clamp, which would be the same whether the two handlebars are connected or not.
Any increased stress would be due to more weight on the bars but since the risers reduce weight this is a moot point - anyway, certainly looks more solid than the standard bars!
I guess the lighter steering comes from the more relaxed riding position and the increased leverage - monkey bars next?! |
