| I have been looking for a Mag arm in good condition for about a year now to finish off my project of making my 955SP a road going version of the Corsa.
I was looking very seriously at the one on ebay and may bid on it but, I have made some calls and the fact it isnt machined worrys me slightly. Reason I say this is that I have bought mag valve covers for the engine, an engine side cover, a clutch cover from TARGET998 and while the parts have all arrived in mint order, when PRO TWINS went to fit them on the bike they told me that all the parts looked right but where all slighty out (these also required the some machining). They told me they thought some of the parts where made new from casts of the originals?
Anyway, after getting the bike back I fired it up and left it burbling while I closed my garage and luckily noticed a huge pile of oil under the bike. Basically the valve covers werent quite flat and Rob had to remove them and hammer them flat then fit them back.
Does anyone have any experience of unmachined arms like this? Skidlidz?  |
