Has anyone repacked their DP carbon cans ?
I've had a set on my ST4s since new, and think its about time they were repacked (5 years, 32k miles). They sound great but my ears are still ringing from our trip over the bank holiday
If anyone can give advice on the best method to do this I'd be very grateful.
I realise I have to drill out the rivets, but is it easier to do from one end, or do I need to drill both ends ?
And should I wrap the stuff around the tube tight, loose, or what ?
Should I wire it on ?
Should I put as much as I can on that fits in the can, or just 1 or 2 layers ?
Finally, do the dealers do repack kits, or sell the rivets to rebuild them ?
