The Clipsal 500 was on when the taxi dropped me at my hotel though, that was pretty cool! Walking down Rundle St mall I could hear V8supercars in the background, grrr!
Steve, if you want excellent beaches Brisbane is close to the Gold and Sunshine coasts. Good surf, plenty to look at
