I would not recommend doing this. Magnesium needs to have chromate finish and then you can paint on top. If you don't do this it will bubble up and start corroding on any knock.

Nick charged something like £95 per wheel. Worth it in my opinion.
At least I know that magnesium will stay stable from this point on.
