We sent an e-mail round all of the Class B registered entrants last week with regard to piston availability for these bikes.
We are aware that you can no longer buy these individually from Ducati, but need to buy a barrel and piston assembly at something like £400.
Now it is apparent that many of the engines are now starting to suffer with piston wear and as such the RC have been looking into the possibility of getting a batch of pistons made. We have found a manufacturer who is willing to make a batch of pistons (inc rings and gudgeon pins) at £280 + VAT per pair.
Now to make sure that we get as many as are needed and that no one has to carry stock, we need to get an order together within the next couple of weeks.
Therefore if you want a pair of pistons please get in touch and we will add your name to the list
