Yes you have to join the SACU if you have a Scottish address.

Normal route is to Join the Kirkcaldy, Melville or SCRMC (Classic Club), clubs who will then send out forms for a licence. Not sure if you can apply direct to the SACU.
You need an eye test, then can apply for a licence.
Then you need to do one of the training days.

If you need any help, phone the SACU in Uphall, Yvonne in the office is very helpfull.
