| 916SP or 996 must have the same set up. So you will most likely be running into the problem.
sorry I did not take pictures about the issue and now I have some RS dual injectors on that bike instead. I can show you pictures of the spacers if you want though.
I run 748R inspection covers on that bike which are staying put. I had to grind them as well (where they have threaded profusions). they are a little bit thinner and work better with the 996RS airbox that I use... evenso, the airbox still had to be cut out a bit to fit.
For set up, also think that:
- 748R throttle bodies have a non linear TPS - unlike the other bikes. So you wll have to rechip your ECU correctly.
- If you are on 916SP, you might be on P8 / SPS loom as well?? If you are, this is another problem as you would have dual injectors with sequential injection. Apparently you may be able to work from an early 916 Strada or something like that which was on P8 and single injectors. To be honest, I think that you are better to work from 1.6 ECU, 916 loom and probably a powercommander too.  |
