| Yep...done the same, ally plates in a steel basket. After 3000-4000 miles still looking fine. A little mushrooming of the tangs but nothing worse than expected. And the reduction innoise was quite noticable.
If you put steel plates in an ally basket...mmmmhhhh could be different...i don't see the basket lasting very long!
In an ideal world, the ally plates and basket would be the way to go, but the basket isn't cheap and it can be a swine to fit. |
