| When I was looking a few years ago for mine, one very good bit of advice I was given was dont go for one with a built in hydraulic system - go for one that uses a standard trolly jack.
The shop that gave me the advice pointed outthat every couple of years they had to get their built in ram re-sealed, at about £100 a go, for it to continue to work. My 10 year olf Halfords 2.5 ton jack is still working fine and I can use it on the cars as well!
One other thing it is definately worth getting a front wheel clamp! I didn't so I use tie downs at all times!
