I have my 996 serviced at MotoRapido and Steve there certainly knows his stuff and is one of the most helpful blokes on the planet. He has been doing Ducati servicing / racing / selling for years. Used to be called Dr Desmo (

Unfortunately, I wouldn't class myself as a great candidate for giving advice on purchases as there is so much I don't know. However, I can tell you that Steve is as honest as the day is long and if he says it's a good one then you can bet that it is.
