wvt I've only ever ridden an RC30 back to back with my old piped and chipped 851 strada. The 851 was sweet as a nut, but the RC30 totally blew it away. That said, given only limited time on my SP5 (had a couple of hand injuries that hampered my riding for a couple of years - nothing to do with jazz mags!!) it seems to be a much more raw and fast machine than the 851 (as expected of course), but probably more difficult to jump on and ride fast than the rc30. Incidentally, whilst I love standard rc30s (and of course they carry a premium) I am picking up a "Thorsten Durbahn" kitted bike (HRC pipes, Moriwaki motor etc) - which at supposedly 175kg (wet) and 125PS may well have the legs on the SP5. Also it should sound pretty sensational! SP5 and piped RC30 - two best sounding bikes ever??? ..... well there's a debate!!!!! |
