Re-claiming lost time - great idea.
We had a gas leak at my office years ago. I asked if we were going to evacuate, management said "No". I asked if that was because if there was an explosion, the staff could be replaced, but if we evacuated unnecessarily, the lost man-hours could not be replaced.
Come to think of it, it was about that time that management stopped talking to me.
