| after a rebuild I had last year I was told that the oil I had been using was no good,,,, (shell advanced synthetic 10/40) and had caused damage.
I don't really know if this was really a direct result of the oil and I am the only person I know who has had this problem, I was advised to use putoline 15/50 synthetic, since then Parkinsons also told me they only use putoline 15/50 and I have used it ever since, hopefully without causing any damage inside,, which I can't see... yet...
