Yep,Marko's had this problem a couple of times on his 749.Dunno what the fault is,but the cure is to remove the front fuse for a couple of seconds.(Its the fuse nearest the front of the bike.)
The panel and tach will reset itself when you put the fuse back.I think the clock will also want resetting.
