I was self employed from mid 1980's till 4 yrs ago - when an old back injury dictated I should ease up for a while (am still trying to get used to being paid to take holidays!

Alan is a 'sales executive' at present in the motor trade - in the parts sector
By trade he was a Kwak trained mech ( past workshop foreman) & also had specialised own business repairing american cars - still doing the spares for them in own time now.
In his 'spare time' he builds bikes out of heaps of rusting junk....
