| I've recently got an S, and am very pleased with it. I understand that the R has different characteristics especially at low speeds due to the difference in the injection method. As deej says, it depends what sort of riding you do. The S seems to be fine for all sorts. I'm sure some of the R owners can enlighten you more.
Whichever you go for, they are fine bikes. Good luck!
