Used to go to the drags all the time when I was in the states and went to Wetsville (Santa Pod) alot in the mid 80's too, but it was nothing in comparison to seeing the Americans do it properly.
The 'real' draggers are 4000bhp+ big block V8 motors. The sound from them is awesome, infact unbelievable. They'll do the quarter mile dash in under 4.5 seconds at well over 300mph. The Scandanavians are buying alot of the 2nd-hand US cars so they're catching up on speeds and times now. |
