Did Rossi Not go faster in the 1st qualifying session at the last GP at Philip Island than he did in the final qualifying and if he hadn't have done maybe he would have started futher back on the grid with his harder compound rear tyre which in turn could have changed the outcome of the race.

It would be interesting although unlikely if Baylis got Ducati their best finish of the year.
