Easiest option would be to change the fuel pressure regulator in the bottom of the pump to a lower pressure item, then any pressure over that from the pump would bleed back to the tank, changing the pump wouldn't hurt but may not be necessary.

Is the round Held in by circling with webber stamped on it the regulator?
Not near tank / bike at moment can't go check. Could do with looking at at a drawing.
I'm sure it's run like this before, how we'll or bad I have no idea. That's what you get from buying them in a pile of bits.

Really wanna get it mot and ride it this week should look quite good with some sort of clipons. Thanks for your help
