Hello Ducati Sporting Club! I joined just after Christmas but have owned a Ducati 999 since 2006. I now own a 1299 Panigale as well, the latest addition in a pre-Christmas ‘ow sod it’ moment. I plan to sell the 999 in the spring and may use this forum to connect with the membership and any potential interest (details for follow in March).

As for the 1299, incredible! I have already replaced all major fixings with A4 316 Stainless Steel as I have bought this machine to be used and enjoyed, not just garaged and looked at. I would like to do a few track days as well as some touring in the future. I have done 2 of the Ron Haslam Race School (Premier class) days at Donington Park and have got the bug.

I am a Chartered Engineer and do all my own servicing on both bikes. They are my pride and joy, there is a lot of satisfaction in maintaining your own machine and understanding how it works rather than paying someone else who is on the clock for the privilege. I am often in the garage cleaning, adjusting and maintaining the bikes as well as the car (BMW 530d - all the practicality with a lot less fun).
