I use a mixture of paper gaskets cut out of Cornflake packet (dont ask me why but Kellogs do the best material) and make sure that I grease both sides when I put it on the bike. You will need a set of wadding punches to make the holes for the fixing bolts. Quick tip for marking out, put grease on the cover and carefully place on cardboard, then lift off carefully.
Otherwise get yourself some Yamabond, I think M&P do it. It is the grey gasket goo that the factory uses and is excellent. |
