Wow - what a great story.

Discovering new substances must be amazing in itself but, actually creating them!!!

I wonder if a Yellow Ducati paint could be created that turned a proper red when the engine was started

Brillliant idea! I reckon it'd want to turn red over a certain speed though, it being the faster colour?

Yellow to red when Hot, probably possible with some sort of temperature sensitive paint, you can by drinking mugs where the logo/design changes with a hot drink in it.

Maybe an idea for tyres that change colour when they are up to temperature, the end of cold tyre falling off excuses, or maybe I didn't notice the left hand side was still pink??

Ducati's can already turn black ink to red on bank statements!!
