I would like to meet any of you that are, and say hi.
I will buy warm weak beer or insipid tea that they usaully serve to those that are.

I went today, hadn't noticed this post otherwise I would have arranged a meet. I did see a couple of DD racers (No's 99 and 45, Andy and Mark) there as well as our main man Ian.

The show continues to slide down hill and what was once the main Road racing show in the country will soon be a custom bike show. There were less exhibitors there this year and the paddock bargain section has now gone. Hardly worth the £15 entry fee and travel costs of getting there and back.

Hopefully the firms in the road racing business will look to arranging a new show somewhere to get away from the crap that now surrounds them at the Ally Pally show.

I did get what I went for which was a new pair of race boots for this coming season. I opted for a pair of Oxbow's as they were the right price, felt comfortable and a few racers that I know that already wear them vouched for them being a good race boot. also picked up some pads for my AP 4-pots along with a Nissin Radial mastercylinder and a couple of gear change toe pegs for my rearsets which at £5 each from Harris with a rubber sleeve and countersunk bolt I thought was a fair price.

good to see you Kev, - and Mark.

Agree Ally Pally show is now a big let down, - so many items did not have prices on them, - mainly helmets so it has turned into some sort of market where you have to haggle for everything ('ere there is a man here won't haggle, 2 sheckles for a gord you must be mad).

Good news was a mate has decided he wants a S4RS ! !

Brenda and I went on Monday and were very dissapointed. Having gone to this show for years it was always a great day out. This time, however, we arrived about 10:45 and were gone by 13:30 having seen everything.

We managed to get a RiDE recommended Knox backpack for Brenda and that was it - we did save a £1 though.

Strangest thing was talking to one of the Infinity guys about some leisure Alpinestar boots I'm after. Discovered his branch is in Holborn, a couple of hundred metres from my office. He gave me his card, took my details and suggested I call in to see him after the show and he would do me a good deal at the store. Also promised to get me a summer jacket that I'm after.

It's always great talking to the stall holders ... the salesman on the Suzuki stand was desperate to get me a test ride on the GSX1000 ... very friendly and enthusiastic ... but on the whole they do come across as the whole show being a big chore for them.

Anyway ... if you go ... (try to) enjoy!
