So, where is safer, on the road or track?

I went through this with my "expensive" Ducati. I would say now, ride it on the track, its far safer than the road!

Others may argue, trackdays! not with my bike its too dangerous out there, ill stick to the road.

You can get Nuggits on both track and road.

Maybe not gonna get one pull out on you from a side turning on track, but one might just run into the back of you or take you out going into a corner.

I would say I feel "safer" at speed on track 'cos I'm not on the lookout for scameras, side turnings and so on. I also like the idea that someone is on hand to scrape you up if the worst happens on track, not left lying in a ditch for a day or so as could happen on the road!

Track no doubt at all. Actually stopped riding on the road about a year ago now because it was getting so bad.

Yesterday I decided to go out on herselfs S2R. On the short 50 mile ride to work, I was pulled out on (twice) hit wet leaves (several) smelled before I saw a diesel spill on a roundabout, and narrowly avoided two socking great potholes. This in additin to all the normal hazards of riding on the roads, mud, muppets and morons!

Think it will be at least another year before I'm tempted back on the roads.

I would have said track but I've had more incidents in the last year than in 15 combined years of road-riding!

But how many of these "incidents" resulted in injury or death...

I would say it should be safer on the track, but because you go faster on the track, any mistake becomes more important...
