Question from a Yank for the Brits

All,

Hope all is well in the UK! I’m from San Diego, California, ride a 749 dark (stock except for racing clutch, Termi exhaust, chip, etc.) and have a couple of questions on Frank Thomas riding gear. Frank Thomas is only carried by one regional motorcycle group of stores here in the States. And there is virtually nothing on the web as far as customer write-ups. I was also told that Frank Thomas is a local London-based (or at least a UK-based) manufacturer.

I’m getting some new skins (maybe the UK’s nickname for leathers like us Yanks?). They seem to fit me well and the price is soooo much lower than Spidi or Dianese. Any input on the quality and “word on the street” of this brand of leather riding gear? For me, safety first, style second. Is this a bad brand or are you guys/gals wearing Frank Thomas leathers?

On a side note, my regular riding buddies are a Brit and a Frenchy (yes, they actually get along!). The Brit (he’s from Newcastle) has a Duc Supersport and a sick looking MV Agusta Brutale and the Frenchy (family from Nice) has a Monster. I’ve traveled quite a bit in Europe and really enjoy it over there. Hope to one day rent a motorcycle for a road trip sometime.

Thanks in advance for any input on the Frank Thomas leather riding gear you can provide, much appreciated!

Ride safe,
Holeshot
