| Yep, I agree with all of the above. I test rode a 749S and 748R on the same day and ended up buying the 749S. The newer bike was much easier to ride and felt solid on the road. The 748R, with it's higher riding position, felt a bit too much like my current bike at the time (Aprilia RSV) - a bit top heavy and very on/off. The 749S was much smoother and easier to ride fast. I am AT LEAST 5-10mph quicker through every corner on the road on the 749S, and much quicker in the wet.
The 749 is the better bike for the majority of people. |
