Rebuilding a bike

I've just got me hands on a 1982 Suzuki Katana 1100.

Now this is in bits and pieces but is all there, it has not been run in a while so requires rebuilding, being a novice at this I need some advice please

Sorry guys I know it's not a duke but I've wanted this bike since I was a kid

dave are you rebuilding it as original or modernising it with wider 3 spoke wheels, better forks etc.
I have done the odd Z1000, Z650 and GSX1100EFE all ended up with more modern forks, swingarm, wheels and brakes with the EFE also ending up with a GSXR1100R engine in it

Have a look at the restoration pages on here...

www.t20suzuki.com

Plenty of parts available for them too.

One of my sponsors deals in bits for them: www.andersonvintageparts.com

Ask on the SOC boards too, always somebody with parts for grabs.

Kev
It's going back to it's original state, I think too many people have *******ised them or writen them off so it would be nice to see it original.

cheers Monsterbob and Spen

Dave, think about joining the VJMC. Their members are very helpful and give lots of good advice when answering the sort of questions you will have as the restoration goes on. (and you will have a lot...). Been there done it!! Not a Katana though.
Good luck with the job.
Regards,
Gary.
