I can't believe it. I saw the consultant again this afternoon and today's x-ray shows that although it's healing, it's still not getting enough blood into the bone and she doesn't want to risk it collapsing through me walking without the support. She is having to fuse part of the ankle on another of her patients because the same bone collapsed a bit on top. I want to play rugby again, not walk with a permanent limp!

So I have another appointment in three weeks and I'll have another x-ray and an MRI! And there's no gaurantee that I'll get it off then either.

I don't care how much Daytona Security Evo's are, I'm having them!

Hang in with the program TP, its all happening at the right time of year - you should be ok to race next year, get fit when its warm(ish) and then play rugby next season.

T P sorry to hear about your progress, you just have to be patient and let it heal. If you rush it you will pay.

Buy the boots here, even with shipping they're cheap. (About £350 iirc)

Oh dear, TP. More time with your foot up! That's just terrible.

But looking on the bright side, you're getting the sympathy vote from the entire DSC. And turning up in bars already plastered is a good conversation starter, surely.

Thanks mate, it's been a long time since I used to fit into a size 7 though. I'm around a 10-11 depending on the boot manufacturer. Normally a 45.

Cheers for thinking of me though.
