Yes, you're right of course about the incorrect use of the term "Biposto" and "Monoposto" meaning twin and single seats rather than the type of bike.

Pre-2000 the 748 came in Biposto (standard), SP and SPS flavours.

From 2000, the 748 came as E, S and R variants. The E was the Bip replacement, with the S and R having different levels of extras on them.
