Why is there a U turn test ? And why should you keep your feet up ?

If I ever do a U turn (last one I think was 18mths ago), I definitely have feet down ready, it's just common sense isn't it ?

Perhaps you should take your test on a trials bike (feet up, slow speed - no problem) before getting on a normal road bike!

My test (so long ago now.....) consisted of 20 mins traversing a cross-road junction, an emergency stop whilst in 1st gear and arm signals (do they still do those now?). Guess I had it easy......
