| You could always host your own ... if you have broadband. Cheaper but could be a headache depending on what web server you choose to run. This is of course if you already have the appropriate kit such as h/w firewall solution with SPI, capable of NAT etc .... (If these acronyms mean nothing to you then there might be a bit more reading involved if you wanted to host it yourself!) Having said that my firewall doesn't have SPI so you don't really need it ... I've just started going down this road at home by downloading apache 2.0 and setting her up (I'm at work all you IP thieves and port scanners so you can't get me, and I haven't opened my firewall at home yet so settle down!) and started the reading process. I have 180GB of space at home so it makes sense  Ok, so I just got out of a design workshop so I was feeling kind of geeky .. I'll get me anorak .... [Edited on 15-7-2004 by tp-996]  |
