when you say use the little rubber mountings what do you mean?

Mine is on an aluminium bracket that has rubber mountings that allow the tacho to bounce around (if that makes sense)

the bracket has a hole in the back and I was going to bolt that to the ally piece I have where the dash was.

Yes it needs to bounce around, Scitzu's do not like vibration at all.

I might quit the IT business and become a bike mechanic. I clearly have a knack for it.
