UK\'s 10 most bendy roads
as researched by Continental tyres and reported on the BBC web page today.
Which now mean not only will they be a magnet for every 4 wheel berk within miles of each who thinks s/he can drive, there will also be a mobile speed trap round every corner.
Great, thanks Continental and BBC!

Oh, and since they are already out there, they are:

B3081- Cann Common to Tollard Royal, Dorset/Wiltshire
A686 - Penrith to Melmerby, Cumbria
A537 - Macclesfield to Buxton, Cheshire/Derbyshire
A466 - Monmouth and Staunton, Monmouth
A4061 - Pricetown and Treorchy, Rhondda, Wales
A157 - Louth to Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire
B2130 - Godalming to Cranleigh, Surrey
B6270 - Keld and Reeth, North Yorkshire
A39 - Bridgwater to Minehead, Somerset
B797 - Mennock to Warnlockhead, Dumfries and Galloway

Normally you'd say now, add your own, but personally I wouldn't, keep it quiet and keep it safe.

The best twisty roads aren't in the UK anyway and everyone and his dog does the Alps and Gorge du Verdon, so try the Massive Centrale instead not as crowded and just as good. Oops maybe I should have kept that quiet as well.

Ains.

what???

well known locally for being an unsafe road - particularly for bikers.
Concealed driveway/field entrances, horses on the road at all times.
Big equestrian events at Stilemans (just out of Godalming, at the top of the hill).
Only about a mile of it is ok - and who wants to keep on doing just a short bit of it????

Crap road, I prefer the M25/A3 to using that one thanks

How on earth did it get voted for in the first place?

where on the list is the A264 beween Tunbridge Wells and East Grinstead?

And agree the B2130 is a pig, - I cycled it a 100 times and it is not safe on a bicycle let alone a motorbike. Further on towards Ockley from Ewhurst it turns into fun!

Think it was to do with the G-force experienced in a car taking the corners at 30mph.

It's certainly nothing to do with road surface - as anyone going over the cat and fiddle will tell you. It may have lots of bends but it also has some aboslute crxp road surface.

B3081- Cann Common to Tollard Royal, Dorset/Wiltshire - AKA Zig Zag Hill, maybe very twisty but not a great deal of fun unless you like practising slow speed steering skills.
