Flicking through the DP Catalogue, noticed carbon velocity stacks!

Does anyone have them, have read some where you need a diffrent chip for set up?

Any information/comment...

Or are these the ultimate stealth wealth pose factor...

Unless they are a different profile that the oe plastic ones I cant see the need for rechipping?
Actually, I don't really the see the point at all to be honest. Are they going to add any benefit - doubt it - and you wont even see them!
Personally I wouldnt bother - Id spend the cash on something else

Aren't the stacks aluminium and not plastic? I doubt that there would be much in terms of weight saving compared to carbon ones...

The carbon velocity stacks are really for use on a race bike and they are actually a different length/profile to the OEM stacks. Altering the length of the inlet track is an old trick for shifting the power curve. The carbon ones are designed to give max power high up the RPM range at the cost of losing some low down grunt so probably not ideal for a road bike. That's also the reason why you (usually) have to re-chip after fitting them.
