Three steps for me.

I used Ghosts you tube with an MCN guide before I go to a new track. The videos help you get ahead of the game and have an idea of which way the track go. "Ghostie749"

But, you have to translate that onto the track, and for me I can learn all the braking markers and lines on the test day, but doing them is sometimes another thing! Still cant do top gear into the first corner at Cadwell comfortably although I know I should be doing it.

Then come race day all the markers change! Writing it down and changing them is beginning to work for me, but following people round at race pace seems to be the best way, you cant go into there in that gear, oh yes you can!

I never have done anything like that, I just turn up do 2 or 3 laps carefully if I don't know the track, then go as fast as I can, if you go slow you will learn the track slow,,, which is different to fast..?

Personally, I can't remember what I've read in track guides so I don't find them any help.

You can go off line as well, and with the desired result.
