No smilies on DSC?

For some reason I can't insert smilies into posts on DSC - I can add one to the thread header, but there's no option to insert them in the body of the posts.

Am I missing something?

You need to use the Advanced form when replying (seen by pressing the 'Go Advanced') button at the bottom of the screen.....then you will see a small toolbar on the top of the form with the 'smilie' icon clearly visible.

I think about 6 images (or smilies) is the current maximum per post.

When creating a new thread you should see the advanced form already

Regards - Frank

I don't have that toolbar Frank - unless I'm being stoopid. See attached

Thanks, that works. Is that the only way to do it? Seems long-winded to cut and paste from that page every time

Took me a while to figure this one out

Injected - Your screen dump holds the answer actually, you must be using the 'Reply' buttons the left hand side of the page.....

These actually reply to THE THREAD rather than to individual posts (there is a difference, trust me )

I'm pretty sure if you use the Reply buttons in the posts on the RHS of the screen you will get the 'Go Advanced' option & be able to get the smilie drop-down...

(There is an option to choose the advanced editor straight away via the Edit Options link in your control panel / Quick links above)

Cheers - Frank

Actually, the answer is this...

From the top menu, select User Settings and then from the Control Panel select Edit Options.

At the bottom of this screen, change the Message Editor Interface drop-down box to show "Enhanced Interface".

Click Save Changes and the next time you reply to a thread, you'll get a quick list of smilies and a full drop-down list in the menu too...
