As Kev suggests it's expensive to prove and difficult to police. I think the BHP limit and random dyno testing of all the bikes is about the fairest anyone could do. I like to think most people are honest and stick to the rules.

At the end of the day you are only fooling yourself if you win by less than honest means.

which has been done since the first man competed against the second, and I cant imagine they lost sleep over it

Yes I know. So having a bhp limit puts a ceiling on things if people did cheat they can only cheat so far.
