Floating Discs

Just looking for a little advice/knowledge. I have recently picked up a very nice 900 Superlite, all seems well with good service history. Just wondering how much play should be in the floating front discs? Bike only has 16000 miles but discs seem to have a lot or play in bobbins, I know some is normal but how much is ok? Cheers

Hi Bud,

Some Side to side movement is acceptable as is inevitable when the bobbins wear. Apparently the issue is when its possible to hold the disc and move it clockwise/anti-clockwise when the wheel is still.

New bobbins, spring clips and washers should still be available from the Brembo importers - Mode Performance.

Thanks for that. Yes there is some movement in forward/backward direction so will investigate further. Cheers
