Ducati Insurance for me.
Worth shopping around and speaking to each insurer, not just using their online form or comparison sites, to see if your German NCD can be taken in to account... EU rules and all that?

Allways done OK with Ducati Insurance & they paid up when it went wrong.
Anyone taken up MCE's track day cover on top of the road cover?

I think this is probably the best price you will see, your 1198R Bayliss rep is valued at (if its a genuine model) £22,000 or maybe £21,000 most policies have a maximum limit of £15,000 (including Carloe Nash).

I couldn't find anything cheaper than Ducati for my Bayliss, but when I want to add a non Ducati the price is very expensive.

Ducati Insurance valued mine at £28,000, no one else would even look at insuring it, so had to stay with Ducati insurance just hope next years premium comes down a bit when its due.

I'm with Bennetts - just under £100 for my 98 900ss ie

The shocking thing is that my Chinese 125 commuter (also with bennetts) is MORE expensive....

I'm with ebike on a 2-bike policy (748R and RSV R). Bennetts wouldn't insure me on a 2-bike policy with the duke's mods of slip-ons, bit of carbon, and uprated brakes?????

Prior to that I was with DW Laxton for several years as they were always cheaper than most (not sure how as you get bombarded with paperwork from them).

Could you not add the commuter to your other policy?

On an initial quote ducatinsurance were cheaper at the last renewal by a few £££ but when I looked into a full like for like they weren't any cheaper.

Certainly pays to shop around but the trouble is we tend to buy insurance on price, but only get to find out what sort of customer service we have bought when we have to claim.

Ray

Just moved to MotorCycle direct.

e-bike wouldn't/can't take off breakdown cover that I didn't want and the final straw was when I rang up to discuss the renewal and they insisted they wanted about a fiver more than the price on the renewal paperwork and wouldn't honour the original renewal price.

Prompted me to get some quotes from elsewhere, saved £100 on the e bike renewal.........result
