looking for----
any one know of a company that can recover seats?? i have a seat base, foam,fittings and vinyl plasticky seat covering material but no means of stitching the cover or making the seat strap me self--unfortunately i dont have the original cover to copy so specialist skills are required-- tried to blag my sisters sewing machine but she didnt believe i was going to make some curtains and was'nt havin none of it!not for a ducati its for a 70's honda

preferably close to home so i can visit and talk to people concerned -- thanks

have a look in yellow pages, should be one local?? Farnahm must have somewhere....there is an upholsterer in Gosport but not exacty local for you

doh -- old age kicking in again!!!
of course -upholsterers thats what they're called !!!!!!! been looking for sewing machinists and seat recoverers! car trimmers are also usefull people you know

Not sure how far from Swindon you are, but these people might be able to help.....says they do seat covers.

I know someone based in Portsmouth who can re-cover seats, I've seen his work and it's good. If you want his number, I can get it tomorrow for you.

thanks for all the responses guys- found a local classic car restorer that can do the job for me- hes only too pleased to have a go at a bike seat instead of an austen healey - ready in a couple of days!
