Number board painting

I know it's been covered loads of times before but how much would I have to pay for numberboard painting in the Hertfordshire area?

Any recomendations would be welcome

Thanks

Steve, dont get it painted, go for the stick on number board, excellent protection against stones and it does'nt chip.

number boards

iv'e been quoted £200 to have mine sprayed - complete with gold pinstripe around edge

Company is called "padded cell", and they are near Stanstead airport - they advertise in back of MCN - top work they do too

Try Casoli's.
They do an exchange service. You give them your nose cone and some money. They give you a nose cone back with a spangly number board painted on.
Ive had the stick on jobbies on my 996 and my 998 and found them easy to fit and they look pretty good.IMO.

The stick on boards are fine as long as you put them on properly with the missus, (or mr's if you're that way), hair dryer.

At least they repel stone chips - a painted section ain't gonna do that.

I don't know why, but I think they make a 9** look cheap (bit a like a Mito), like someone said "the equivalent of putting a spoiler on the back of a punto" - sorry

Funny thing is the 999 looks better with one

Do not go the stick on number board way. They look fine, but peel at the first sign of sun. And don't believe it when people say you can apply them easily ... they are a complete bitch. Even with a hair dryer and taking effing hours over placement and reoving the air bubbles, mine didn't stick in the usual places.

And when I finally did take it off, it brought some of the paint with it - the final insult.

Either get it painted, or don't bother - but its a taste thing. having done it to my 998s, I think I prefer the naked red look.

The stick on board is as Swiss998s says - a bit max power .... IMHO

Ps the 999 would look better with a paper bag over it ...... it will never be beautiful ....

Pieman

If you took a number board off a 998 and stuck it on a 999 it would improve the looks of both, rather like taking a couple stupid Englishmen and sending them to Switz you improve the IQ of both countries
