12 month service cost

ST2 12 month service (20k km)

How much *should* it cost? :puzzled::puzzled::puzzled:
Who's the most reliable in the midlands?:saint:

Minor Service at planet bikes, major disaster, they're an utter joke. Could have done a better job myself (and do now).
I've used italia moto in lincoln before, excellent job for it's second service.
Duc cov had it for some warranty repairs last year and forgot to do up the lower left fairing bolts, crash bung, seat unit and didn't do the things I asked (check chain + suspension).

I'm alot nearer to Duc cov (leics). Anyone else had bad experiences with them or is mine a fluke mishap? :o

Mooz, you're so lucky to be in t'midlands!
If it's out of warranty there's only one word... Cornerspeed
If it still in warranty there's another way of putting it... Cornerspeed, and bollox to the warranty!

Damn good labour rates too, and spend 20 notes to join dsc and you get a 10% discount which more than covers the membership fee when applied to a 12 month service.

From my experience - franchise dealers have done more harm than good to my bikes.

Ditto that, it's the only place my ST2 goes and it's 110 miles to get it there.

I take it there and it's 156 miles from my door to Nelly's AND it's up the boooooooring M1.

rockhopper 12-Oct-2004 21:23

Yep, Nelly every time. Hes the only person (JHP included) who i will let touch my bike. He is only ten miles away from me but thats got nothing to do with it!

Moozaad
Im in Leicestershire too, not far from Mkt Bosworth
I ride (recently drive) up to Nellys (Neil) at Cornerspeed
Best around. You're more than welcome to bimble up the M1 to jct 28 most saturdays
Nelly's is also the psuedo hangout for the Notts area DSC peeps
Does coffee free and he's got milk now as well
His work is second to none, rates are very very good, and a 10% discount as someone else on the thread has also said
If you fancy a trip up, reply via this thread
Join the DSC and get all the benefits it brings, discounts, great peeps, and a chance for real duke only trackdays, STs, SS's (Ive got a 900ssie) 74*, 99*'s are all there being real friendly and no idiots on the track either.!!
So again in answer to your question, Cornerspeed, and the only commission Im on is free coffee or tea, and Im the honourary coffee and tea maker saturdays

Hi all
Following on from this thread.....

My new (to me) 20 month old ST4s has done 10,000 and will be due its (expensive) 12,000 service shortly. I want to get this done before the warranty runs out next March. My main worry is all the nasty stories I hear about rockers etc needing replacing at similar low milages. Obviously if any thing nasty crops up I would rather Ducati foot the bill while its still in warranty.

Who would you guys recommend in Surrey? The Places I know of are P&H or Ducati London South or Protwins.

Any recomendations please?

I use WM Snell at Alton, mucho cheaper than DLS etc, but are a franchised dealer:)
Located just off the A31 by Alton station, about 20 miles from me in NW Surrey.

CMW at Chichester has good reports too - where in Surrey are you?

CMW in Chichester

Lovely roads there and back plus you get to have a cuppa with Mel ;)

lemans 04-Nov-2004 22:42

Thanks guys

I live in Coulsdon (south of Croydon) and I guess Protwins is the nearest decent ride out. But Chichester sounds a better ride out!
BTW How long does a 12k service take? i know the fairing takes about a day to take off and put back on again!!!
